Our Custom Dress Making Process
Step 1: Come Up With Ideas For Your Dream Dress
At Garden Door Bridal we specialize in custom designs that are unique to each bride, so its important that you spend lots of time considering the different things you want in your dress. Collect inspiration pictures or put together a Pinterest board that you can share with our designer.
You can also take inspiration from any of our designs.
Step 2: Free Consultation with Our Designer
Once you've got an idea of your dream dress, its time to get in contact with the designer!
Book a consultation appointment and complete our "My Dream Dress" forum so we can get to know you. If you have a question or would like more information, you can contact us through the website or shoot us a message on Instagram.
Step 3: Begin the Design Process
Our talented designer will take into consideration all of your preferences and create a detailed drawing of your dress design. You can revise the design as many times as necessary to ensure you get the exact look you want. Our focus is on you and making sure you feel stunning as you walk down the aisle. To begin the design process, we require a design fee of $200.
Step 4: Supply Search
In this step the designer will work within your budget to compile different fabric/lace/supply options for you to choose from. We consult with you on everything before spending a dime so you can be certain you get exactly what you want for a reasonable price.
Once the supplies are picked, the designer will give you the final price estimate.
Step 4: Creating the Dress
Once the fabric is finalized you will send in your measurements and your deposit, and we can start constructing the dress! We reccommend that you have a professional measure you to ensure the dress will fit perfectly. We will update you frequently with videos and photos as we sew the dress, so you can rest assured it will be perfect for your special day.
Step 6: Payment and Shipping
Once the dress is complete we will contact you with videos and photos of the final design and ensure it reaches your highest expectations. Upon us recieving the remaining payment, your dress will be professionally packaged and mailed to you (unless you opt to pick up your dress).
